We celebrate Guru Purnima on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Ashadha (June/July). It is a day to honor and pay tribute to our teachers and gurus who have played a significant role in shaping our lives.
Celebration format:
- Guru puja: Conduct a special puja or prayer ceremony to honor teachers and gurus. Students can offer flowers, sweets, and other traditional offerings to their teachers.
- Cultural programs: Organize cultural programs where students can showcase their talents and pay tribute to their teachers through songs, dances, and other artistic performances.
- Guest speakers: Invite eminent personalities or gurus to speak to students about the significance of Guru Purnima and the role of teachers in shaping our lives.
- Essay and poetry competitions: Encourage students to participate in essay and poetry competitions on the theme of Guru Purnima and the importance of teachers in our lives.
- Appreciation letters: Ask students to write letters expressing their gratitude to their teachers and gurus, and present them with these letters during the celebrations.
